Ostro is small on purpose. Dr. Márquez sees a limited number of patients each week so that every consultation, plan, and treatment is given the time it deserves. Our rooms are quiet. Our materials are considered. And the standard of dentistry, we hope, feels the same as the standard of design.

Dr. Elena Márquez founded Ostro after a decade in a busier private practice, drawn to a quieter idea of what dentistry could be. She trained at the UCLA School of Dentistry, completed advanced residencies in cosmetic and implant dentistry, and continues to work with a small circle of ceramists, prosthodontists, and orthodontists whose taste she trusts.

Our studio was designed by architect James Whitten with materials chosen for texture and calm—travertine, white oak, unbleached linen, brushed brass. Every treatment room opens to the courtyard. There is no waiting room television, no hurried check-in, no clinical fluorescent light.
Work that looks like nothing was done.
